Awake o Biharis

Last month i joined All State Solution Private Ltd.(a US based insurance company ) as Senior Technical Consultant -Unix. My induction was going on and in one of the break time the trainer asked me --"Vikash are you from Bihar." I told--"Yes". Then she told about the incident of mass cheating which happened in Board Exams in Bihar. By hearing her it seems that she made a perception that this is happening in Bihar all the time and all students and guardians are same like this. And she is not alone, people all over the country having the same perception about Biharis.

Who is responsible behind this prejudice? We the people  of Bihar. Bihar is the state which gives IITians and IIM candidates more than anywhere in India. We have more IAS and IPS, more than from anywhere. So why we are doing this all to bring shame and embarrassment to all the people of Bihar. We are from the land of Aryabhatta and Chankaya.

The students and their parents which involved in this mass cheating need to know the simple fact that there is no shorter path of success ---"Karmyog ki bhatti me sab ko jalna parta h". It is as simple and as difficult as that. Though government rusticated lots of candidate and many examination center were banned after this incident. But the Education department needs to work on the solution, be pro-active rather than reactive is the need of hour.

First of the thing we need to see that the students which get involve in these kind of activities are not prepared for the exam. They could not complete the syllabus may be not a single chapter. We need to find the reason behind this. We can ponder on these points:

  •   Did they get good teachers?
  •   How was their performance in the pre-tests?
  •   What was their attendance percentage in the class?
Let me explain little bit on these points. By good teacher i mean not only who complete the syllabus on time as a duty. As a teacher we need to take care of each and every child we need to see how they are finding the syllabus. The lessons should be more interesting,  no matter which subject it is, there is always a way to make anything interesting. Teachers need to be more imaginative. Try not  prepare the students for exams but make sure they are learning new things. Make them more practical. When their basics get cleared no matter how complex the questions will exam ask they will able to answer those.

Every boards conduct pre-tests before the final board exam. If the student is having poor performance continually in these pre-tests, teachers need to focus on these students more. School authority should arrange special classes for these students. Parents should be informed about their progress and make them aware that their child needs special attention in school as well as in home.

School authority need to make sure that all the students having healthy percentage rate in class. If someone is having lackluster attendance, their parents should be called and they should be informed about the same.

We need to find the root cause of the issues and i hope above few points certainly will help in eradicating these issues in the future.

Bihar is having 6 crores of people below the age of 25. It is the land of intellectuals, mathematicians, great philosophers,  its the land of Buddha. Please do not bring shame to this great land by your clever and cheep deeds. Awake o Biharis, the nation needs you more than ever.

Technical reasons behind Tuesday mishap in Bihar

It was the last Tuesday night(21-04-2015) when several districts of Bihar (Dagarua, Dhamdaha, Baisi, Purnia and Krityanand Nagar blocks.) got heavy storm. As per the government figures there were 40 people died and 100 injured due to this.

Mine own district Madhubani also had some affect, i checked with my father today and he told that  though none of the person had lost life in our village but one family who was not living in the village but made a house in Pandaul had one person died and two injured. Their house was built near a mill which high wall fall in the storm on their house. Out of three persons in the family the father died on the spot while the son and mother survived with some injury.

Apart from the un-repairable damage to the families due to the loss of the near and dear ones, the other worst thing that happened is the loss of corps.

India Meteorological Department Patna is blaming the weather reporting machine which was showing that wind would come with a speed of 65-70 KMPH while the actual speed was around 80 KMPH which had taken lives and destroyed corps and residence. Further comment which came from the Director of IMD Patna was that a warning was updated on the website at 8PM but the fax could not be sent.

Now there are two points of concern, why the information has been updated at 8 PM when the storm hit the districts at 10:30 PM. Can this gap between the hit and alert be increased?

Also we need to find the better way of communicating the information. Since this is the age of IT then how come such a critical information has not reached the people at the right time.

While stating that the warning has been updated on the website at 8 PM, IMD Patna is making fun of itself. Are not they aware of the internet penetration in the Bihar villages. Some people may have computer and laptops in their houses but internet still did not reach  there. For a moment just assume that the internet is there what the chances of a village person to give a hit on the website of IMD at 8 in the night. We surely need to find a better way of communication.

Another thing which we want to know, when and how the department came to know about the upcoming disaster? What tools they are using to get the information in advance? What is the source of the information? Can these tools and sources be made more efficient?

Kuch Khayaal kabhi Yuhin......

Kuch Khayaal kabhi yuhin aajate hain
Badal ki terah dilo-dimaag par cha jaatain h
Kasmokash ka daur shooru hota h
sawalon ki bochar hoti h....
jawabo ki talash hoti h
dil ko mannane ki laachar si koshish hoti h
Phir baarish hoti h aur aankhein nam hoti h
Aur raashte ka paani aapne saath bha le jata h
Poorane zakhmo ke nishaan
lekin in sab ke baad aisa khayal hota h.....
jaise dil ko phir se naye zakhmo ki talash h....
Kuch Khayal kabhi yuhin......

us jawab ki talash main...

us jawab ki talash me
jis ki manjil ek sawal h
us rashte ki talash me
jiske har kadam par
ek nai manzil h
main nikal para hoon
khud se bahar
khud ki talash main
tujhe dhoodne ki khwaish h
par jab jab aisa laga
ki tu nazdik h mere
maine paaya ki aur koi nahi
main khud hi khud ko dekh raha hoon
us aayne me jiske upar waqt ki dhool jam jaati h
baar baar saafai karni padti h mujhe
kuch kar aisa ki aayna mera paak rahe
tere didaar karne ke liye
mujhe rashton aur manzilo ki talash na rahe....

Where are You

Love...is something..where you donot have any expectations..still it gives you immense pleasure..logically you think and you will bang your head, but you will not able to find out the the source of this pleasure. This is the same as we know that the acceleration, which a body falling towards the earth feels is due to gravity, but you donot know what is this gravity due to?.....is there really something we call God exist outside us ..which control all these things..generating gravity...created something as beautiful but at the same time so confusing (only if you think logically), as love....what is it? where is the source?...can we find the reason of all these things..or we ultimately accept the school of thought that there is this supernatural man/woman, who is controlling every thing in the whole universe...now whenever the word universe comes in any discussion, my eyes glitters...so my question is God exist in the Universe or outside of it, so if he exist outside..what is this outside known as...where r you..where r you..where r you...tell me..i can percept your existence almighty, you have created so many things, so complex but at the same time so simple..so vulnerable but at the same time you given him/her the power to overcome this vulnerablity (this is human ofcouse)...tell na where are you....it would be so lovely to see such a great creator through this physical eyes...i waan see you..i wanna see you

My Grand MAAs

I have loved and enjoyed the company of so many people during this 28 years and then something or other happens and we get sperated and separted in such a manner that, it would be very difficult and in some cases not possible to meet again. Dont know why in the list of these persons, i want to put my both Grand ma(maternal and paternal), first. Both these old ladies love me so much, though there were other kidzz around but i enjoyed their love more than others, i don't know the reason, one of them may be my nani was more affectionate toward maa, and dadi towards papa. I used to visit them till i am 14 in my summer holidays(but not all summer holidays). While nani pampered me with Lichi, dadi make sure that i have always get roti and dahi or chirwa and dahi(since i hated vegitables with a passion at that time). When i returned to city i always thought about them and it gave me immnese pleasure, just to think about their selfless love and so much caring. It has been almost a decade, since both of them left me forever, i did not attain the funeral of neither of them.
Still sometime it feels that they are around with their hand full of delicious eateries. And i want to leave everything and just go and sleep in their lap and eat the Lichis and Mangoes.

Miss you.....
